The day started out cool and drizzly. But truly, nothing could dampen Danielle’s spirit.
Today she was going to marry her best friend, the one person she wanted to spend forever with. So a little rain wasn’t going to change her plans. Slowly, as her hair and makeup finished, the weather started to lift, and just like that, as she pulled on her dress, she knew they were going to have a beautiful day.
As everyone drove up to the ceremony, the sky cleared and the sun started to peak around the mountains, casting a glow on the dew filled grass. Danielle and Landon exchanged vows surrounded by some of the most beautiful mountains in all of Colorado and the love of their family and friends. And just as we all walked back to the car, the sky opened up and a crack of thunder echoed through the canyon. It seemed, mother nature had also taken the time to just enjoy the promise of love that was surrounding maroon bells that day. And even though the mountains around them glistened with the morning rain, the love in Danielle’s and Landon’s eyes shone brighter than anything else that day.
Danielle and Landon had booked their venue sight unseen so it turns out they were seeing the famous maroon bells for the first time right along with all of their guests! It was so wonderful to see their close friends and family there, and you couldn’t have asked for a more laid-back and fun group of people.
From their non-stop laughter, to the sweet way Danielle and Landon looked at one another, I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better group to spend a Thursday with. And the fact that the weather held out just long enough, to me was a sign that their day was just meant to be.
Thank you, both of you, for welcoming me into your group and including me in your amazing, intimate wedding. When I meet couples like you who just “fit” it makes my heart so happy, and I just love telling your love story.
A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this day happen
