Featuring…..drumroll please!!!!!

Cakelady Creations!!!

What makes your wedding day a little sweeter?? Cake!

And as a wedding photographer, I get to try a lot of cake.

It’s kind of funny, because you always seem to hear “Oh, no one eats the cake!” or “All wedding cakes look good but taste bland!”

Well,…let me tell you, if you get a GREAT cake, they will come, they will eat it, and your caterer will have to fight them off!

So where do you find this amazing cake? How do you make sure your guests come back begging for a second slice?

You mix together a gal who secretly always wanted to be an art teacher, and has always had the eye for it, one who has decorated cakes for over 20 years! A lady who has a crazy imagination, and a steady hand. Toss in a husband of 38 years who is a master at mixing together the most moist cake you could dream of, sprinkle in one of the most easy going attitudes you could ever find mix it all up and TADA! You’ve got THE cakelady!!

Margo and Gary are seriously two of the sweetest (no pun intended) people I have ever met! I could have spent all day in their kitchen watching them work and chatting about everything they have done! They were kind enough to give me a behind the scenes look at how much love, dedication and sugary goodness goes into one of their cake creations! And I can’t wait to share all of their hard work with you!

Margo originally decorated cakes for a big box store, but missed the creative freedom to design and decorate cakes on her own. So she retired and shortly after the cottage law passed they started up Cakelady Creations! I mean, they came OUT of retirement to make cakes for all of the amazing brides here in Colorado! Is that awesome or what?!?!

Easy going, creative brides are their thing and that is why I think they make a perfect fit for any #spbride! They have a real knack for taking your vision and whipping it into buttercream and fondant perfection! They do it all! From the traditional, to the funky, to the simplicity of a naked cake they’ve got you covered. The possibilities are endless and armed with your wedding day vision, Margo and Gary can make your cake not only delicious but a great talking point at your reception!

These two book up fast! In fact, they are already completely booked for June 2017!! They generally start their tastings about a year in advance. And from what I’m told, their cake tasting is one of the best parts of planning your wedding, so be sure to get your spot! They walk you through the entire process and are great at matching colors to your finances tie, bridesmaids dress or giving you the down-low on just how many flowers you can stack on top without worry!

So, call, text or email Margo, set up your tasting, and fall in love with this deliciously adorable duo!
