This week we’re getting back to basics. The one thing that takes up the most time in the months leading up to your big day. I’m talking the wedding planning process. The daunting task of picking, choosing, hiring, collecting, buying, borrowing and setting up every little thing that makes your big day so unique and magical. Sometimes we all need a little help. And your wedding day isn’t the day to find out that you need it. Weddings can be stressful. But they really don’t have to be!
Enter the wedding planner!
They know the vendors. They know the timelines and they know exactly what it takes to pull everything off without a hitch! Because the last thing you need to be worried about on the first day of the rest of your life is where the extra napkins are. Seriously.
Tonja has been planning events for over 20 years. I mean, she can trace her love of event planning back to her high school days on the homecoming committee! She knows her stuff. From fundraising events for big non-profits to the small wedding on a private ranch no detail is too small for her and no event too big. I caught up with her and the whole R&R team at the annual Holy Family Catholic School Gala. And pretty much anything that has to do with the kids and wearing a fun dress is a big win in my book so I was all in.
One of the best parts?! The theme this year was back to basics! It’s just begging for a Feature Friday post!
The thing you need to know about Tonja and the entire R&R team is that they are truly all or nothing.
This wasn’t your middle school dance revived with some wine and awkward dancing. NOT EVEN CLOSE.
This was an event you really, really did not want to miss.
In under a day the girls transformed the school gym into a space that would make any wedding stand up and take notice. I attend a lot of events each year. And this one can rub shoulders with the best of ‘em! Every single amazing volunteer and donor comes together to make sure that the event succeeds and that the kids come away with enough support to help them succeed in their studies! From the primary color scheme with an adult twist to the classic game of ring toss with a wine finish Tonja and her team rock at taking simple concepts visions and turning them into a night you will never forget.
It’s just what she does. Just like she promises she makes your perfect day perfectly you!
You can send her a Pinterest board, sure, but I promise that she is going to come back with something ten times better than anything you could have found. Her teams big ideas match their big hearts and it shows in every event they do.
There are a lot of unknowns in wedding planning. Things, or maybe even people get lost. Tables don’t always get set right and sometimes things can run a bit off schedule. It’s a lot for one person to handle. Especially if that person is also the lucky one getting married! So why not put together your dream team of FOUR amazing women to make sure that everything, everyone and every table are in their place.
Abbie heads up the design side of your team while Andrea mans your day of coordination. Hannah makes sure that no detail is left behind and Tonja keeps the entire event on track and makes sure your personality, vision and love story shine through in every part of the day!
So if you’re stressed, worried or haven’t even started your plan – say hello to your new best friends. R&R events and design.
Everyone would also like to extend a huge thank you to all of the amazing vendors and donors of the Holy Family Catholic School Gala 2017! None of this would have been possible without you all!
