Shiara and I were chatting over coffee one morning, talking about our upcoming busy season, our plans for the years ahead and how we seem to insta-stalk a lot of the same people when the idea for a Feature Friday blog just sort of happened! And then we realized that the best ideas always seem to come with a cup of coffee. Or wine.
What she didn’t know was that she had been one of the people I stalked. I mean, every one of my friends wanted her style, her collection of old books and most of all – her furniture. I just about died when I found out there was a vintage rental company in the valley! I finally got the chance to work with Shiara at Heather and Cole’s wedding last year and have been officially hooked ever since. I even had the chance to visit her warehouse to pick up the couches for my 2016 Mini Sessions and I’m pretty sure Kyle had to drag me out. I never would have left otherwise.
So I was ecstatic when she agreed to be part of the Feature Friday crew and as we hashed out details for her shoot I couldn’t help but get excited.
I may always be a vintage junky, actually may is probably an understatement. I will always be a vintage junky! But the really amazing thing about Shiara and all of the ladies over at Stonewood is that they can take any vision, theme or idea and make it a reality. They really understand that Details tell the story and are masters at telling any story their couples have. From a destination wedding in Moab, only accessible by Jeep, to an elegant Rocky Mountain wedding at Beaver Creek these girls really do make wedding day dreams come true!
Shiara has a knack for picking things out. And she really gets that everything has a story tied to it. From digging through her grandparents barn, looking for that one special thing to naming her company after her parents property in Wisconsin she is able to combine even the most contrasting elements into a natural, simplistic and timeless narrative.
When it comes to both a-la-carte rentals to full service event planning and coordination, these ladies have it down! I mean, not only were they able to plan an amazing picnic, but it also served as an actual team meeting! How’s that for efficient?! Now if only every meeting had cheese and wine…
These girls rock at what they do. And they give their whole heart to each and every event that they are a part of. Going through this process, I fell more and more in love with Stonewood and everything they stand for. Every couple has a story, and no matter what their background, style or vision is they deserve the chance to tell their story down to the last detail. The ladies at Stonewood get that. It is their reason why, and they do an amazing job. Every. Single. Time.
So if you want to make sure that every detail helps to tell your story, get in touch with them! They are booking 2018 events now, and I know that they will make your story come alive.
Be sure to check out their work below and don’t forget to follow their story on Instagram so that you can stalk them as much as I do! Because everyone needs more pretty things in their day!
