It feels like this weekend has really snuck up on me fast! We just got back from a DREAM trip in Mexico – and coming home to February just seems really odd!
It’s going to be wedding season before we know it!
But, like I said before – It’s FRIDAY!! And that means I have to amazing opportunity to introduce you to another wonderful vendor here in the Grand Valley!
Judy owns and operates Victoria Rose Bridal here in Grand Junction, and she is pretty much one of the sweetest women I have ever met!
It’s funny how looking back on your childhood you can often find ties to your current occupation. It’s almost as if you knew yourself better than you ever could have thought – and for years you were preparing yourself.
Judy spent much of her childhood designing bridal gowns for her paper dolls and even made her own clothes at times! Never did she guess that she would one day open her own bridal shop, trading her paper dolls for such amazing, beautiful women and her cutout designs for classy, designer dresses filled with tulle.
She didn’t actually know that she wanted a bridal shop until an experience with her own engaged daughter left her feeling disappointed with the dress selection they were being offered. She combined her desire to offer more to brides with the business knowledge she learned from her years in Real Estate and Victoria Rose was born!
And you guys, she nailed it!
Colorado brides are unique. We all seem to have a hint of wild in us. An eye for the vintage, dreamy maybe a little bohemian look. And we love to take a classy, classic wedding and add our own little Colorado touch. From the Mountain tops to the winery I have yet to see anything quite like a Colorado wedding. And Judy, she gets that – 100%
She gets that having a rustic, vintage wedding doesn’t mean you don’t get look and feel like a princess. Every bride has found the guy who gives her butterflies, and Judy makes sure her dress does too.
From that classic ballgown to the open back bohemian beauty you’ve re-pinned a million times to your wedding board Judy truly makes dress dreams come true. Just tell her your venue and vision and she will have you twirling with a huge grin in no time.
I mean, while we were there for this shoot one of our models fell in love with a dress, sending photos and videos to her mother and sister – and Judy wasn’t even TRYING to find her the one! It just comes naturally!
But once you get to know Judy, it really won’t be all that surprising that she is the best at what she does. Because she really gets that weddings are not just about fancy dresses, vintage decor and great dance moves. They are all about love stories. And the love stories that Judy can tell will make even the most skeptical heart just melt.
One of her favorites? A story of young love lost and found again. A couple of high school sweethearts parted ways just before college, as so many do. But the love was never forgotten. So much in fact that the girl couldn’t face him at their high school reunion. But he noticed her absence, and decided to contact her parents to check in on her. The love they shared during their school days quickly grew and after popping the question they started their lives together in California.
Every great love story truly deserves a beautiful gown. So if you still haven’t found the dress you never want to take off, give Judy a call. Whether your looking for classy, vintage, rustic, bohemian or a mix she has the dress you’ve been dreaming of. So go trade in the Pinterest pins, paper dolls, or, if you’re like me, your moms white sheets for the real thing.

But remember – since the wedding needs to be planned around the bride it is important to choose your gown right after you have your venue set! It takes 4-5 months to get your dress ordered in so Judy really recommends purchasing your dress 8-12 months before your big day – that way you have enough time for alterations!
Making sure your dream dress fits like a glove is the first step to a dream wedding day so move this to the top of your wedding to-do list!
