Okay, everyone. Here is my spoiler alert. My PSA and my warning.
This blog post is about it get a little heavy, as real as it gets and maybe has a little more attitude than I usually share. But if you ever wonder if you are alone in anything. This might just be for you.
“Why are you doing that?”
Early in the day the girls came up to me as I was photographing the details of their parents wedding day and asked this question.
“Because one day when you get older you get to look back on these photos and see what real love looks like. You get to decide that you want that on your own wedding day. You get to see how much your dad loves your mom. You get to see what love really is.”
Because that is what it is all about.
You can always tell when someone has just found their match. There is a way that they interact. A look that they give one another. That cute smile, and the way she giggles as he whispers something in her ear.
He met with her couples group for over a year and a half. On Facetime. He picked up and moved his whole life to Grand Junction. For her. Because when two people are just meant to be, there is nothing that can stand in their way.
I am always in awe of couples who can go the distance, quite literally, and maintain a relationship over incredible distances. Relationships are hard to begin with, and so when I meet a couple who not only made it work, but thrived during their long distance time, I know that they are the stuff of legends.
Okay you guys – lets be honest for a second. Flowers are some of the best things on wedding days. They are so pretty, feminine, and smell great. And they are by far the most photographed detail of your day. From your bridal, wedding party, ceremony and table top photos to the fun details of your rings, accessories and invitation set flowers are a huge part of telling the love story on your wedding day! So picking a florist who has a style that really speaks to you and fits your vision for your wedding is one of the most important things you can do!
Every once in a while I get to do a session that, as soon as I hear about it I can’t stop thinking about it. It just so happens that Dulce and Bryan got engaged one a stretch of river that my family had been rafting for years, so as soon as they told me that they wanted to go back to the camp spot where Bryan proposed to do their engagement photos I was all in!Read More
Happy June!! And it just so happens to be a Thursday! So welcome to edition 4 of Thursday Thoughts! With the holiday weekend it’s been a crazy few days and I seem to have really lost myself this week. But we’re here, and we made it!
So here you go, our maybe-something, maybe-nothing moments and thoughts from this week!
1. My first pet was a rabbit. I named her White Rabbit. Original.
2. I was the Capitan of my high school dive team. It’s something I just did for fun, but I can trace some of my posing techniques back to my diving form! Thanks, FMHS.
I’m dying over here! It has been so hard to look at all of these photos and not immediately share each and every one! Heather and Cole are one of my favorite #spbride couples! They are some of the kindest, sweetest people you could ever meet and I am so, so lucky to get to be a part of their biggest life moments!
Happy Thursday! If this is your first Thursday Thoughts be sure to check out the first two here and here!
